The trek is relatively easy and shorter trek in Annapurna region with rewarding mountain views followed by the mixed ethnic groups in the Annapurna region. Destination of the trekking, Poonhill is a hillstop from where incredible mountain views are seen. The sunrise view from Poonhill is considered one of the best in the world which paints the mountains orange by its rising sunrays.
Annapurna Ghorepani trekking itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival to Kathmandu. Transfer to the hotel meeting our office representatives at the airport. Overnight in hotel with free evening.
Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The day’s drive pass along the hills at first portion, green hills in the morning are seen well-worth. The varieties of landscapes and small villages fill the first part of the drive followed by Trishuli River’s stunning view. The Ganesh Himal originated river flows moderately wild to mix with Marshyangdi river and finally to Narayani River. Last portion of the trek passes along a varieties of landscapes, villages, cities, markets, hills, rivers and rice fields. Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 03: Drive from Pokhara to Birethanti to trek upto Ulleri village. The portion of trek is one of the toughest trek portions of this trek route as you will be climbing continued stairs up and then follow the descended way to reach the Ulleri village. Overnight in Ulleri (2073 mtrs.).
Day 04: from Ulleri, continue trekking to the village of Ghorepani through the forests of Rhodondren and Oak, cultivated fields. Overnight in Ghorepani village (2987m.).
Day 05: Early morning of the day starts with a short trek to the poonhill. Poonhill is a hillstop near Ghorepani Mountain to see the mountain views and the sunrise view from here is one of the best of the world. The incredible orange color paint by the sunrise on the mountains which is seen just in front of you at the very early rise is just magnificent. After breakfast, continue trekking to Tadapani, another Gurung village of the region. You will be trekking around 7 hours before reaching for an overnight stay at Tadapani (2590 mtrs.).
Day 06: Trek down from Tadapani to Ghandruk Village, another Gurung village of the region. Ghandruk Village is renowned worldwide for its unique cultural evidences, ethnic festivities and warm hospitality. Overnight in Ghanduk, relatively this days trek is shorter (1940 mtrs.).
Day 07: Trekking from Ghandruk to dhampus, the lowed point of the trek route. Dhampus is also a famous village. Overnight in Dhampus (1640 mtrs.).
Day 08: Drive from Dhampus to Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 09: Sightseeing in Pokhara. The whole day sightseeing in Pokhara includes sightseeing in Phewa Lake visiting the Barahi temple, Visit the world peace stupa, visit the davi’s falls etc. overnight in pokhara.
Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara retracing the same way back. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 11: Free day in Kathmandu to shop around in Kathmandu.
Day 12: Free morning with departure.
